We are often in need to hard-working, reliable seasonal workers (June-October) in a variety of roles.
***Farmers’ Market Salesperson
Work Tasks and Responsibilities will include:
- Help to organize produce for farmers’ market
- Load pick up truck with produce for farmers’ market
- Drive pick up truck to the farmers’ market
- Set up tent and create attractive display of produce and other farm products at a farmers’ market
- Provide exceptional customer service while selling produce and farm products
- Calculate sales and provide correct change for cash sales
- operate card payment processing system
- Restock truck after returning to the farm
- G license with a clean driving record is a requirement
- Must be physically able to climb in and out of the back of a pick up truck
- Must be physically able to lift crates full of sweet corn, cantaloupe, etc…
- Must be able to lift up to 50lb at a time
- Preference will be given to applicants who are available to work every Saturday from May until the end of October

Field Worker
Work Tasks and Responsibilities will include:
- Picking fresh produce, including strawberries, cucumbers and tomatoes
- Hoeing/pulling weeds in horticultural crops as needed
- Packing, sorting and washing produce for market as needed
- Packing/unpacking truck for market as needed
- Assisting in setting up irrigation as needed
- Be physically able to bend/kneel for extended period of time
- Be able and willing to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
- Drivers’ license is an asset but not a requirement.
Delivery Driver (part time)
Work tasks and responsbilities:
- deliver strawberries, sweet corn, pumpkins, and other produce to various wholesale customers within about an hours’ drive of our farm.
- lifting bags of corn (approx 50 pounds).
- work in a variety of weather conditions.
- at least a G2 drivers’ license is required (a DZ is required for large deliveries).
- knowledge of roads in Haldimand-Norfolk, Niagara Region and Hamilton is an asset.

Farm Store Salesperson
Work tasks and responsibilites:
- cleaning customer and staff washrooms
- restocking store with fresh produce
- dusting store shelves
- serving customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- operating point of sale system
- Lifting 50 lbs (20kg)

Kitchen Assistant
Work Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Preparing fruit and vegetables for freezing
- Pressing out tart shells and cookies
- Assisting with assembling pies
- Assist with baking and packaging baked goods
- Washing dishes
- Cleaning kitchen at the end of the day
- Adhering to public health guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
- may be combined with other job openings to create a full time seasonal position
- Must be physically able to stand for long stretches of time and lift 20kg
- Food Safety Certification is an asset
Farmer’s Market Assistant
Work Tasks and Responsibilities include:
- Restocking table throughout the market
- Serving customers as able/necessary
- helping with setup and cleanup
- Working in a variety of weather conditions
- Adhering to current public health guidelines
- Interacting with customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Adding item total and calculating change either mentally or using a calculator
Must be able to lift approximately 20kg. A drivers’ license is an asset but not a requirement.
